한미감리교회Jun 26.2025 귀한 손길들 / Beautiful Ministry

한미연회 중부지방 목회자 가족 수양회가 많은 감사 가운데 잘 마쳤습니다. 특별히 우리 교회 여선교회에서 저녁 3끼를 제공해 주신 것에 대하여 모든 목사님들과 사모님들의 감사가 끊이지 않았습니다. 이 자리를 빌어 3일간 수고해 주신 남정희 총여선교회 회장님 이하 각 여선교회 회장님과 여러분께 다시 한번 깊은 감사를 드립니다. 이렇게 뒤에서 수고해 주시는 여러분이 있어 우리 한미교회가 아름다운 사역을 선하게 감당해 갈 수 있음을 새삼 깨닫게 됩니다. 지난 주에는 또한 많은 이들의 섬김 가운데 여름성경학교가 큰 은혜 가운데 있었습니다. 학부모님들로부터 감사의 카톡이 쏟아졌는데 한분이 이렇게 적었습니다. "멋진 프로그램 정말 감사드립니다! 아이들이 아직도 여름성경학교에서 배운 노래를 부르며, VBS 이야기를 하고 있습니다 :) 감사합니다!" VBS가 끝나고 박미숙 교육부장님께서 수고한 이들에게 저녁을 대접해 주셨는데 큰 힘과 격려가 되었기에 이 자리를 빌어 심심한 감사를 드립니다! 이런 저런 모양으로 성심껏 섬겨 주시는 여러분, 감~사합니다! The Central District Pastors’ Family Retreat of the Korean American Annual Conference was completed successfully with much gratitude. In particular, there was much appreciation for our church’s Women’s Mission Group, which graciously provided three dinners during the retreat. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to President Chong Clay, and to all the Women’s Mission leaders and members who served over the three days. It once again reminds me that it is because of many faithful hands behind the scenes that our church can continue to carry out its wonderful ministry. Last week, our Vacation Bible School was also held with abundant grace, thanks to the service of many. We received numerous messages of thanks from parents, and one of them read: "Thank you for a great program! Kids are still talking about it and singing the songs they learned at VBS :) Thank you!" After VBS ended, Education Chair Misuk Hasberry kindly treated the volunteers to dinner. Once again, I sincerely thank all of those who have served so wholeheartedly in various ways. Thank you!

희락속 심방을 마지막으로 봄철 대심방을 잘 마쳤습니다. 삶의 여정 가운데 함께 하셨던 하나님 은혜의 이야기들을 진솔하게 나눠 주신 여러분들께 감사를 드리며, 함께 예배 드리며 올렸던 기도들의 열매갸 선하게 맺혀지기를 또한 간절히 바랍니다. 다시 한번 귀한 만남, 교제, 예배를 통해 영광받으실 하나님께 감사를 드립니다. 할렐루야! With the Huirak group visitation, we have now completed our spring visitations. I am deeply grateful to all who shared the stories of God's grace in their life's journey. I also earnestly pray that the fruits of the prayers we lifted together during our worship will be beautifully and abundantly borne. Once again, I give thanks to God, who is glorified through our time of fellowship and worship. Hallelujah!

한미감리교회May 28.2025 대심방 일곱째주 (축복속) - Seventh Week of Annual Visitation

지난 주간은 축복속 심방이 있었습니다. 두 가정을 심방했는데 특별히 하나님께서 베풀어 주신 놀라운 기적의 간증들을 들으며 귀한 은혜의 시간이 되어 감사를 드립니다. 이번 심방 기간은 우리 가운데 역사하시는 하나님의 손길을 다시금 확인해 보는 시간이 되어 너무나 감사하네요. 이번 주는 마지막 주간으로 희락속 심방으로 이어집니다. 심방에 응해 주신 여러분께 다시 한번 감사를 드립니다. 할렐루야! Last week, we had visitation with the Blessing Group. We visited two families, and it was a wonderful time of grace as we listened to the amazing testimonies of God’s miraculous works. I am truly grateful that this visitation period has been a time to once again witness the hand of God at work among us. This week ㅑㄴs the final week of visitations, concluding with the Joy Group. Once again, thank you to everyone who welcomed us for the visits. Hallelujah!

우리 교회에 귀한 청장년 세대 남성 모임이 지난 주일 있었습니다. 함께 즐거운 시간을 가지며 친숙해 질 수 있는 시간이 되어 감사했습니다. 이 모임이 앞으로 계속 이어지면서 힘찬 제 2 남선교회로 성장할 수 있도록 기도를 부탁드립니다. A special gathering of young and middle-aged men in our church took place last Sunday. It was a joyful opportunity for great fellowship and getting to know each other better. Please pray that this gathering will continue to grow and develop into a vibrant and thriving Second Men's Group.

지난 주는 은혜속과 화평속 심방이 있었습니다. 은퇴후 열심히 교회일을 섬기며 인생의 후반전을 아름답게 살고 계신 여러분들의 이야기를 듣느라 시간 가는 줄 몰랐던 심방이었습니다. 다시 한번 귀한 초대를 해 주신 여러분께 감사를 드립니다. 오는 주간에는 찬미속과 축복속의 심방이 있겠으며, 다음주에 희락속 심방으로 봄심방은 마치게 됩니다. 봄심방 기간동안 심방을 원하시는 분들은 속장님이나 목회실로 연락해 주시기 바랍니다. 감사합니다. This past week, we had the privilege of visiting the Grace and Peace Groups. It was a heartwarming time, as we listened to the stories of those who, after retirement, continue to serve the church diligently and are living the beautiful "second half" of their lives. Time passed quickly during the visit, and we are truly grateful once again for your kind invitation. This coming week, we will be visiting the Praise and Blessing Groups. The following week, with the visit to the Joy Group, our spring visitation season will come to a close. If there is anyone who would still like to receive a visit during this spring season, please contact your group leader or the pastoral office. Thank you.

한미감리교회May 15.2025 대심방 다섯째주 (자비속) - Fifth Week of Annual Visitation

대심방 다섯째주는 은혜/화평속 심방 스케줄이 잡혀 있었는데 일기등 몇가지 사정으로 한주 미뤄지고 대신 은사속의 박혜선 권사님, 그리고 자비속의 홍미남 집사님 가정 심방이 면담 심방 형태로 제 사무실에서 있었습니다. 사무실에서 진행하는 면담심방은 다른 부담없이 편하게 진솔한 이야기들을 나눌 수 있어서 참 좋네요. 찾아주신 두분께 감사를 드리며, 이번 봄 심방때 뵙지 못한 분들은 가을 심방때 꼭 뵐 수 있기를 바랍니다! During the fifth week of our annual visitations, we had originally planned to visit the Eunhye and Hwapyung groups. However, due to the weather and a few other circumstances, those visits were postponed by a week. Instead, I had the opportunity to meet with Exhorter Linda Park from the Eun-sa group and Deacon Minam Hong from the Jabi group for one-on-one visitations in my office. These office visitations are often a blessing in their own way, as they allow us to have honest and meaningful conversations in a more relaxed setting. I’m grateful to both of them for taking the time to come by. For those I wasn’t able to visit this spring, I look forward to meeting you during the fall visitation season!

지난 주는 은사속 심방이 있었습니다. 그 누구보다도 우리 교회를 아끼며 섬겨오신 여러 가정과 함께 감사의 제단을 쌓을 수 있었음이 너무나 감사했습니다. 무엇보다도 지금까지 참으로 어렵고 힘든 시간들을 하나님의 은혜로 이겨오신 믿음의 이야기들을 나눠 주셔서 감사했습니다. 지난 주는 특별히 탁요셉 선교사님이 함께 해 주셔서 소라이어 자매댁을 심방할 수 있었습니다. 그 가정 또한 참으로 어렵고 힘든 시간을 넘어 여기까지 오게하신 에벤에셀 하나님을 향한 간증이 있었는데, 그 이야기를 들으며 참으로 놀라우신 하나님의 은혜를 다시금 깨닫게 되었습니다. 귀한 초대의 자리를 마련해 주신 여러분께 감사를 드립니다. 대심방은 한주 쉬고 다음주에 은혜속과 화평속 심방으로 이어집니다. 감사합니다! Last week, we had the visitation for the Gift Small Group ("은사속"). I am deeply grateful that we were able to offer worship of thanksgiving together with the families who have cherished and faithfully served our church. Above all, I am thankful for the faith stories they shared—stories of how they overcame truly difficult and challenging times by the grace of God. Last week was particularly special because Missionary Joseph Tark was able to join us, allowing us to visit Sister Soraya's home. Their family also shared a testimony of how Ebenezer, our God, brought them through very hard and trying times. Listening to their story, we were once again reminded of God's amazing grace. We are grateful to everyone who graciously opened their homes to host us. After taking a break from visitations this week, we will resume next week with visits to the Grace Small Group ("은혜속") and the Peace Small Group ("화평속"). Thank you!

한미감리교회Apr 23.2025 말씀과 선교 (Word & Mission)

어제 (화) 세퍼드라이프 3권반 마지막 클래스가 있었습니다. 세퍼드라이프 3권에서는 마태복음 5장에서 13장까지 예수님께서 가장 활발하게 사역하셨던 내용을 함께 배운 시간이었습니다. 사순절 기간 동안에도 꾸준히 모임을 계속한 가운데 10주 코스를 은혜 가운데 끝내신 8분에게 축하와 감사를 드립니다. 지난 토요일, 부활주일 준비로 한창 바쁜 가운데, 그리고 갑자기 추워진 날씨에도 불구하고 24명의 "용감한" 한미교인들이 매월 셋째주 토요일에 있는 홈리스 선교를 다녀왔습니다. 부활주일 움식 준비로 바쁜 가운데도 함께 150개의 샌드위치를 준비해 주신 여러분, 그리고 여러가지 물품과 재정으로 후원해 주신 분들과 더불어 현장에서 수고해 주신 여러분께 깊은 감사를 드립니다. 1200시간 기도와 함께 말씀과 선교의 사역 역시 끊어지지 않고 계속되도록 애써주신 여러분과, 감당토록 힘주시고 인도해 주신 하나님께 감사를 드립니다. Yesterday (Tuesday), we had the final class of the Shepherd Life Book 3 group. In this third book, we studied Matthew chapters 5 through 13, which cover the period of Jesus’ most active ministry. Despite the busyness of the Lenten season, the group continued to meet faithfully, and we give our heartfelt congratulations and thanks to the eight participants who completed the 10-week course with grace. Last Saturday, even amid the busyness of preparing for Easter Sunday and despite the sudden drop in temperature, 24 “brave” members of Hanmi Church went out to serve in our monthly homeless outreach, which takes place every third Saturday. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped prepare 150 sandwiches despite their full schedules, as well as to those who supported the effort with supplies and financial contributions, and to those who served onsite. Alongside our 1,200-hour prayer campaign, we give thanks to everyone who has continued to sustain the ministries of the Word and missions, and above all, we give thanks to God who has given us the strength and guidance to carry them out.

한미감리교회Apr 21.2025 대심방 셋째주 (감사속) - Third Week of Annual Visitation

지난 주간 감사속 심방이 있었습니다. 고난주간의 바쁜 스케줄로 인해 두분 권사님댁 만 심방할 수 있었는데, 두분 다 교회를 오랜 기간 성실히 섬겨오신 분들이라 여러 지난 세월 이야기를 나누며 하나님의 인도하신 손길을 감사하는 시간을 가질 수 있었습니다. 그와 더불어 앞으로 더하실 은총의 시간을 함께 기대하며 은혜의 제단을 쌓을 수 있어서 감사했습니다. 늘 건강하시고 넘치는 기도의 응답을 통해 감사가 넘치는 가정이 되길 다시 한번 축원드립니다. 오는 주간에는 은사속 심방이 이어집니다. Last week, we had visitation with the "Gratitude Small Group." Due to the busy schedule of Holy Week, we were only able to visit the homes of two Exhorters. Both have faithfully served the church for many years, and it was a great time to reflect on those past years and give thanks for God’s guiding hand in their lives. We were also grateful to be able to worship together, with hopeful anticipation for the blessings God will continue to pour out in the days ahead. May their homes always be filled with thanksgiving through abundant answers to prayer! In the coming week, visitation with the "Gifts Small Group" will follow.

한미감리교회Apr 14.2025 대심방 둘째주 (열매속) - Second Week of Annual Visitation

대심방 2주째를 맞아 열매속의 고은순 집사님과 엄은주 권사님, 그리고 양옥순 권사님댁을 심방했습니다. 반갑게 맞아 주신 여러분께 감사를 드리며, 동행해 주시고 사진을 찍어주시느라 본인은 사진에 나오지 못한 김성태 목사님께도 감사를 드립니다. 고난주간인 이번 주에는 감사속 심방이, 그리고 다음주에는 은사속 심방이 있겠습니다. During the second week of the house visitations, we visited the homes of Deaconess Eunsoon Koh and Exhorters Eunjoo Eom and Oksun Yang from the Fruit Cell Group. We are grateful to each of them for warmly welcoming us. Special thanks also go to Pastor Daniel Kim, who accompanied us and took the photos, though he himself is not in any of the pictures. During this Passion Week, we will be visiting members of the Thanksgiving Cell Group, followed by visits to the Gift Cell Group next week.

대심방 첫째 주간이었던 지난 주는 사랑속의 여러 가정을 방문해서 함께 말씀을 나누고 기도하는 시간을 가질 수 있었습니다. 사랑의 마음으로 집을 열어 주시고 귀한 삶의 이야기들을 진솔하게 나눠 주신 여러분께 감사를 드립니다. 아울러 함께 심방에 참여해 주신 (사진에는 나오지 않았지만) 신희인 속장님과 김성태 목사님께 감사를 드립니다. 계속해서 이번주는 열매속 심방이, 그리어 이어서 다음주에는 감사속 심방으로 이어집니다. 심방 스케줄을 잡기를 원하시는 분들은 속장님께 문의해 주시기 바랍니다. 감사합니다! During last week, which was the first week of our annual visitation campaign, I had the opportunity to visit several families in the Sarang (Love) cell, sharing the Word and spending time in prayer together. I am deeply grateful to each of the members who warmly opened their homes with love and shared the stories of their journey in life. I would also like to extend my thanks to cell leader Hui In Madsen and Pastor Daniel Kim, who accompanied in the visitations (though not pictured in the photos). This week, the visitations will continue with the Yulmae (Fruit) cell, and next week, we will proceed with the Gamsa (Thanksgiving) cell.
