하나님의 크신 은혜 가운데 호피 인디언 단기선교를 잘 마치고 돌아왔습니다. 무엇보다 이번 선교의 모든 여정을 인도하시고 지켜주신 하나님께 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 올려드립니다.

 

또한 선교를 위해 함께 기도해 주시고, 물질과 시간으로 후원해 주시며, 바자회와 여러 준비 과정에서 기쁨으로 헌신해 주신 모든 성도님들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 이번 선교는 선교팀만의 사역이 아니라, 온 교회가 함께 드린 순종의 예배였으며, 함께 이루어 낸 하나님의 선교였습니다.

 

이번 선교를 통해 하나님께서는 다양한 사역의 현장에서 복음의 문을 활짝 열어 주셨습니다.

어린이 사역에서는 찬양과 워십댄스, 게임, 만들기, 물놀이 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 아이들과 함께 웃고 뛰놀며 예수님의 사랑을 전할 수 있었습니다. 아이들의 순수한 미소와 열린 마음을 바라보며, 하나님께서 어린이들을 얼마나 귀하게 여기시고 사랑하시는지를 다시 한번 깊이 깨닫는 시간이었습니다.

 

수리/보수 사역에서는 교회와 친교실의 시설을 정비하며 예배 공동체를 위한 공간을 더욱 아름답게 가꾸었습니다. 단순히 건물을 보수하는 일이 아니라, 하나님께 예배드리는 처소를 섬기는 귀한 사역이었습니다. 보이지 않는 곳에서 묵묵히 흘린 땀방울 하나하나를 통해 하나님 나라가 세워지는 모습을 보며 큰 은혜를 받았습니다.

 

마을잔치/음식 사역에서는 K-Food(만두) 교실을 통해 한국 음식의 정과 문화를 나누었고, 마을잔치를 통해 정성껏 준비한 음식을 지역 주민들과 함께 나누며 아름다운 교제의 시간을 가졌습니다. 따뜻한 식탁은 사람들의 마음을 열었고, 그 만남 속에서 우리는 그리스도의 사랑을 나눌 수 있었습니다. 인종과 언어, 세대를 넘어 서로를 이해하고 친구가 되어 가는 모습은 하나님 나라의 아름다운 모습을 보여 주었습니다.

 

모든 사역을 마치며 한 가지 분명하게 깨달은 것이 있습니다. 우리는 누군가를 변화시키기 위해 선교지로 떠났다고 생각했지만, 가장 먼저 변화된 사람은 바로 우리 자신이었습니다. 하나님께서는 섬김의 현장에서 우리의 마음을 새롭게 하시고, 예수님의 겸손과 사랑을 다시 배우게 하셨습니다. 이번 선교는 복음을 전하는 시간이었을 뿐 아니라, 우리 자신이 복음으로 새로워지는 은혜의 시간이었습니다.

 

사도 바울은 우리에게 이렇게 권면합니다. "너희 모든 일을 사랑으로 행하라." (고린도전서 16:14)

 

이번 선교를 통해 하나님께서 우리 교회에 베풀어 주신 은혜가 일회적인 감동으로 끝나지 않고, 우리의 삶 속에서 계속 이어지는 사랑과 순종의 열매가 되기를 기도합니다. 앞으로도 한미교회가 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 선교하는 교회로, 세상 가운데 그리스도의 사랑을 전하는 공동체로 아름답게 쓰임 받기를 소망합니다.

 

다시 한번 기도와 후원, 그리고 사랑으로 함께해 주신 모든 성도님들께 깊이 감사드립니다. 성도님들의 모든 헌신을 하나님께서 기억하시고, 각 가정과 삶 위에 풍성한 은혜와 평강을 더하여 주시기를 축복합니다. 감사합니다.

By God's abundant grace, we have safely returned from our short-term mission trip to the Hopi Indian Reservation. Above all, we give all thanks, praise, and glory to God, who faithfully guided and protected us throughout every step of this journey.

 

I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of our church members who faithfully prayed for the mission, supported it with your financial gifts and time, and joyfully served through the mission bazaar and countless preparations. This mission was not the work of the mission team alone. It was an act of obedience offered by our entire church, a shared worship to God, and truly God's mission accomplished together.

 

Throughout this mission, God graciously opened wide many doors for the gospel through a variety of ministries. In our children's ministry, we had the joy of sharing the love of Jesus through praise, worship dance, games, crafts, and water activities. Laughing, playing, and spending time with the children reminded us once again how deeply God treasures and loves every child. Their joyful smiles and open hearts became a beautiful testimony of God's love.

 

Through our repair and maintenance ministry, we improved the church and fellowship hall facilities, helping to create an even more welcoming place for worship and fellowship. This was far more than simply repairing a building—it was the privilege of caring for a place dedicated to the worship of God. Witnessing God's kingdom being built through every unseen act of faithful service and every drop of sweat was a profound blessing.

 

Our community outreach and hospitality ministry also became a wonderful avenue for sharing Christ's love. Through our K-Food (dumpling-making) class, we introduced Korean food and culture, and during the village celebration we shared meals prepared with love alongside local residents. Around the warmth of the table, hearts were opened, genuine friendships were formed, and the love of Christ was shared naturally. Seeing people of different cultures, languages, and generations come together in understanding and friendship gave us a beautiful glimpse of the Kingdom of God.

 

As the mission came to an end, one truth became unmistakably clear. We left believing we were going to help change others, but the people who were changed first were ourselves. God renewed our hearts through the privilege of serving and taught us once again the humility and love of Jesus Christ. This mission was not only an opportunity to proclaim the gospel—it was also a season in which we ourselves were renewed by the gospel.

 

The Apostle Paul encourages us with these words: "Do everything in love." (1 Corinthians 16:14)

 

It is my prayer that the grace God poured out upon our church through this mission will not remain simply as a cherished memory, but will continue to bear the fruit of love and faithful obedience in our daily lives. May Hanmi Church continue to be a church on mission, pleasing to God and faithfully proclaiming the love of Christ to the world.

 

Once again, thank you to everyone who supported this mission through your prayers, generosity, and loving service. May God remember every act of your faithfulness and richly bless you and your family with His abundant grace and lasting peace. Thank you.
